Josue Droz, PA-C

Josue Droz-Leandry is a board-certified physician assistant, who has been practicing dermatology since 2013. He is a graduate of the Eastern Virginia Medical School Physician Assistant program. Josue received his Doctor of Medical Science degree from Old Dominion University and is a Diplomate Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates.

Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Josue worked as a certified Respiratory Therapist, which he notes helped shape a strong foundation in patient-centered, multidisciplinary care.

His clinical background includes serving veterans at the VA Medical Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico as well as working within academic medical institutions, including the University of Virginia and Eastern Virginia Medical School dermatology departments. Josue is passionate about evidence-based medicine and caring for medical dermatologic conditions, such as inflammatory dermatosis and skin cancer, with a focus on medical dermatology rather than cosmetic procedures.

Beyond medicine, Josue has a bachelor’s degree in biblical and missionary studies from Welch College in Nashville, TN and has participated in several mission trips. He values service, lifelong learning, and cultural engagement. Josue enjoys traveling, staying active outdoors, learning new skills, and spending time with family and friends.
