Tammy joins Virginia Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center from our Anne Arundel Dermatology (AAD) sister practice in Maryland. Prior to joining AAD, she worked as a nurse practitioner in urgent care, where she treated many dermatological conditions, and completed a fellowship with Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC) following the receipt of her master’s degree in nursing. Tammy worked as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care, endocrinology, cardiology, and orthopedics while at AAMC, and also possesses extensive experience in pediatrics, having worked for fifteen years as a neonatal and pediatric emergency room nurse.
Tammy received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the Medical College of Georgia, a Masters of Business Administration from Georgia State University, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing, is nationally certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and is fully-qualified to practice independently in the state of Virginia.
Tammy is passionate about dermatological care and looks forward to treating patients of all ages in Suffolk, Newport News, and surrounding communities.
